Upper Valley Medical Center Physical Therapy - Outpatient PRN (Days) - hours vary Under the general supervision of the department Supervisor in Rehabilitation Services and according to established policies and procedures, the Staff Physical Therapist will: conduct patient initial evaluation, reassessments, and discharge summary for all populations served; administer patient treatment based upon evaluation and/or reassessment; complete required documentation in a timely fashion; maintain productivity at departmental standard; delegate tasks appropriately to personnel; participate in the case management of patients’/clients’ rehabilitation services; perform non-clinical tasks and demonstrate work habits to support effective daily operations; participate in one to two departmental, hospital, and/or community programs/meetings; and teach, orient, train, supervise and mentor co-workers, new employees, volunteers, observers, and a minimum of one student annually. c B.S./Masters/DPT degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required. Current Physical Therapist license for state of Ohio required. Requires effective communication skills and the ability to problem solve, plan, and prioritize. Displays flexibility. Duties require independent judgment and decision-making, and maintenance of confidentiality. Demonstrates acceptable work performance by exhibiting a positive and constructive attitude, initiative, dependability, cooperation, and skill in verbal and written expression. Abides by the Code of Ethical Conduct as defined by the Code of Ethics by the APTA. CPR certification within six months of employment.
Responsibilities
The Staff Physical Therapist will conduct patient initial evaluations, reassessments, and discharge summaries, administering treatment based on findings and maintaining departmental productivity standards. Responsibilities also include completing timely documentation, delegating tasks, participating in case management, and engaging in departmental/community programs.
