QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Doctorate Degree for Physical Therapists (OT) ; Associate Degree for Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA)
  • Licensure/Certification: Current state licensure for your discipline (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
  • Experience: Any; New graduates welcome

Skills and Abilities:

  • Desire & natural drive to support kids in developing their skills through play activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create engaging, play-based therapy activities tailored to young patients.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and standardized assessment tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage a caseload

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess delays and disorders in pediatric patients (ages 0–21), using standardized tools and clinical observations.
  • Individualized Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized therapy plans to address challenges, delays, and/or disorders.
  • Therapy Delivery: Provide engaging, play-based, and functional therapy sessions (30–60 minutes) in a one-on-one or small group setting, tailored to each child’s needs and goals.
  • Family Collaboration: Educate and empower families by providing strategies, home exercises, and resources to support therapy goals outside the clinic.
  • Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with as a team of healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and clinic policies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach, parent education workshops, or multidisciplinary team meetings to promote the clinic’s mission and services.
