This rewarding role involves working directly with students, teachers, and families to support physical development, motor skills, and individualized education plans (IEPs). This is an on-site position only (no remote work) with a consistent weekly schedule, making it ideal for professionals seeking supplemental income or a stable school-based placement. 🔑 Responsibilities Conduct physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Section 504. Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in groups per IEP requirements. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home. Attend IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings. Submit timely evaluation reports and progress updates every 4 weeks. Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality (FERPA, HIPAA). 🎓 Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy. Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of New Mexico (provisional or emergency certification may be accepted). Minimum 2 years of experience as a PT, preferably in school-based or pediatric settings. Experience working with Native American communities strongly preferred. Must pass a federal background investigation (BIE/DCSA clearance).
