OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and knowledge of anatomy and physiology will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient clinics is preferred.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes and patient care strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including those requiring home health services.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide hands-on patient care, utilizing techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment in accordance with established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises, and rehabilitation strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to medical terminology standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Support patients across various demographics including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and those requiring acute care.
