We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Tech/Aide to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. Your primary focus will be to support patients during their rehabilitation process, ensuring a safe and effective environment for their recovery. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare and eager to contribute to the well-being of patients in an outpatient physical therapy setting.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
• Help patients with exercises and therapeutic activities under the supervision of licensed therapists.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area to ensure a safe environment.
• Report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Support the team in administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A genuine concern and compassion to help others is most important.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is helpful to understand patient needs effectively.
• Experience or familiarity with patient care is highly desirable.
• Understanding of orthopedic conditions and basic exercise principles is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while being attentive to individual patient needs.
• A proactive approach to learning new techniques and skills related to physical therapy practices.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is not mandatory, but starting wage will be partly based on experience.
• Candidates must be of sound physical and mental health.
