OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments. Your expertise in anatomy and physiology will be essential in assisting patients with rehabilitation exercises and mobility training, ultimately helping them achieve their therapeutic goals.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in outpatient therapy, pediatrics, geriatrics, or skilled nursing facilities.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient care.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes and acute care environments is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patient mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients returning home or moving to another care setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
