JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. This role involves implementing treatment plans, assisting with patient rehabilitation, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective care strategies.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in trigger point therapy techniques and other physiotherapy modalities.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
  • Experience in various settings such as inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, home health, acute care, outpatient clinics, orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
  • Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes to ensure smooth transitions for patients post-treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including progress notes and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient treatment sessions.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills.
