The Physical and Occupational Therapist's responsibility at JISF is to provide an excellence in patient care to reflect the Physicians of the practice. Their role is to provide effective, efficient, caring and superior patient care. The therapists' responsibilities are to evaluate JISF patients function, identify problems and deficiencies, establish and modify a documented treatment plan with specific timeframe of goals to be achieved, administer effective patient care, liaise with physicians regarding modifications to care, educate patient and caregivers in HEP, activity modifications and adjustments with ADLs to aid in their recovery, provide post therapy education and complete required billing and detailed EMR documentation of care at time of service. OTs/CHTs have excellence in orthotic/splint fabrication and design. PT/OT Skills Good Listener Good Communicator Pleasant and caring demeanor Efficient Time Management Team Player Flexible Ability to motivate and teach Problem solver Ability to multi-task Computer Skills Requirements Education Licensed in the State of Florida OT: Certified Hand Therapist/working towards certification PT: DPT/Master's Degree in Physical Therapy Post Graduate Education in splint fabrication, manual therapy, corrective and restorative exercise, functional movement training, dry needling.
Responsibilities
The Physical and Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing excellent patient care, evaluating patients' functions, and establishing treatment plans. They also educate patients and caregivers, liaise with physicians, and complete necessary documentation.
