Main Line Health’s Lankenau Heart Group located in the near western suburbs of Philadelphia has a cardiology leadership opportunity for a System Medical Director of Advanced Heart Failure. We invite the qualified candidate to join our expanding, top-ranked cardiovascular program.
The System Medical Director of Advanced Heart Failure will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of advanced heart failure care delivery across Main Line Hospitals and other Main Line Health affiliated facilities. This role requires a seasoned cardiologist with extensive experience in managing complex heart failure cases, including ECMO and VAD, along with demonstrated leadership skills to drive clinical excellence, research, and program growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution, with board certification in Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology subspecialties.
  • Active medical license in the Commonwealth of PA, with eligibility for medical staff privileges at Main Line Hospitals.
  • Significant clinical experience in managing advanced heart failure patients, including mechanical circulatory support and heart transplant evaluation.
  • Proven track record of leadership in academic or clinical settings, with experience in program development, quality improvement, and research.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and continuous professional development.
