Setting: Outpatient Hours: Fulltime: M-F, 8 hrs. a day/ 40 hrs. a week | No On Call or Weekends Schedule: 9 Clinicals and 1 Admin Location: Temple Main Overview: The Physician Assistant provides medical care and care coordination, increases patient access and contributes to improved quality for patients across all disciplines in the Temple Health University System. The Physician Assistant practices medicine on healthcare teams with physicians and other providers to improve coordination of care and improve patient outcomes. The Physician Assistant takes medical histories, conducts physical exams, diagnoses and treats illnesses, orders and interprets tests, develops treatment plans, counsels on preventive care, assists in surgery and writes prescriptions all in accordance with their scope of practice, licensure guidelines, and in collaboration with the supervising physician. Education Bachelor's Degree Required Other Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Required Experience 3 years experience in a clinical specialty environment Preferred 4 years experience as a physician assistant Preferred General Experience in an outpatient / ambulatory setting Preferred General Experience with EPIC EMR Preferred Licenses Certified Physician Assistant Required PA Medical Physician Asst Lic Required Basic Life Support Required
