Job Details Job Location: LeNoir Health Center - Oakland, CA Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $127504.00 - $151154.00 Salary/year Description SUMMARY: The Physician Assistant (PA) provides high-quality, comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population at LifeLong Medical Care. Working in collaboration with a supervising physician or Associate Medical Director, the PA evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of medical conditions in an outpatient, community health setting. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team and supports LifeLong’s mission to provide culturally responsive, patient-centered care for underserved communities. This position reports to a Physician or Associate Medical Director, depending on site structure. This position is represented by UAPD. Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and an employee in this position must remain a member in good standing of UAPD, as defined in the CBA. BENEFITS: Compensation: $127,504-$151,154/year and pro-rated depending on years since licensed, sign-on bonus, and excellent benefits: medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, dependent and domestic partner coverage, 403(b) retirement savings plan, and loan repayment programs. LifeLong is a qualified site for federal and state loan repayment programs (HPSA score is 21). Acceptance rates may vary year to year based on funding levels and the number of applicants. JOB DUTIES: Obtain complete medical histories and perform physical exams. Diagnose illnesses and injuries and develop appropriate treatment plans. Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of license and in compliance with LifeLong protocols and state regulations. Provide preventive and chronic care services including immunizations, screenings, and patient education. Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and referrals to specialty care. Collaborate with behavioral health, nursing, case management, and support staff to deliver coordinated, team-based care. Document all clinical encounters accurately and thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Participate in clinical huddles, panel management, and quality improvement efforts. Maintain awareness of and adherence to clinical guidelines, protocols, and regulatory standards. Support learners or trainees when applicable. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Strong clinical skills with a demonstrated commitment to providing care in underserved communities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team. Culturally sensitive, with excellent communication and patient engagement skills. Organized, reliable, and adaptable in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current California Physician Assistant license. Current NCCPA certification. Current furnishing license and DEA certificate (or eligibility to obtain). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred (new grads with strong primary care rotations may be considered). Job Preferences: Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting. Proficiency in Epic EHR. Bilingual or multilingual skills.
