Job Details Job Location: Fairfield, CA 94533 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $160,000.00 Salary Travel Percentage: None MedEvals LLC is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) to join our mission serving veterans, military personnel, and first responders. This is a unique opportunity to use your clinical skills in a non-traditional setting. Instead of focusing on treatment, prescriptions, or ongoing care, you will perform comprehensive health evaluations covering a broad range of conditions. Your work will directly support veterans' claims for service-related injuries, separation health assessments for active-duty personnel, and annual physicals for reservists and first responders. This role offers a significant opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills. We welcome new and experienced practitioners who are eager to learn and who are prepared for a steep but rewarding learning curve. Key responsibilities include: Conducting in-depth interviews with veterans and service members, including but not limited to taking health histories and performing assessments. Ordering diagnostics. Reviewing service medical and service records. Formulating diagnoses. Writing clear, evidence-based medical opinions. Position Requirements: Utilizes application of assessment and evaluation in formulating medical diagnoses and opinions. Prepares timely, legible, and complete documentation of all claimant care as provided by law, regulation, and established policy. Demonstrates an awareness of and sensitivity to veterans' claimant rights. Applies safety principles as identified by established policy. Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices. Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to claimant confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities. Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with claimants, families, and other healthcare professionals. · Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in volume, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality, timeliness, and customer service. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications
