**Job Title: Physician Assistant for Geriatric Care** **Job Description:** We are looking for a Physician Assistant to provide good medical care to older patients in the program. **Your Duties:** - Work together with doctors to give primary medical care. - Check and assess patients when they first join, every six months, once a year, or whenever needed. - Create and follow personalized care plans with the team. - Treat patients who are sick and manage long-term health conditions . - Provide preventive care like health screenings, vaccinations, and regular check-ups. - Prescribe the right medications and therapies. - Refer patients to specialists if needed. - Help with planning for patients who are leaving care and transitions. - Teach patients, families, and caregivers about their treatment and health management. - Be an active member of a team that includes various healthcare professionals. - Help create and improve healthcare policies and standards. - Participate in staff training and education. - Keep accurate and compliant patient records. - Be part of the on-call rotation. - Follow all rules and guidelines set by the organization. **Qualifications:** - Must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program - Must have an active PA license in North Carolina or be willing to get one – - At least 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant (preferably with elderly patients) – - Experience working with frail or elderly populations, or be willing to take PACE training – Must have BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – - Strong clinical skills and ability to make decisions independently – - Clean history with no malpractice or license issues – - Must have DEA Registration – Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (must be active and within the last 30 days) – Certification Requirements BLS Controlled Substance (CSR/CDS) DEA NCCPA State License Requirements North Carolina Additional License Requirements Compliance with state health requirements (e.g., NC Employee Medical Statement) We look forward to your application!
