We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a strong commitment to work-life balance—making this a rewarding next step in your advanced practice career. 📍 Location:462 Grider Street Buffalo, NY   🏥 Department: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery  🕒 Shift: part-time  (2/3 clinic based, 1/3 on-call in-patient rounding and emergency department) Job Duties * Serve as first call for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service on a rotating basis, evaluating urgent consults and coordinating care with the attending surgeon. * Assist surgeons in the operating room as first or second assist, providing exposure, hemostasis, suturing, and other operative support during procedures. * Perform preoperative evaluations and postoperative management for patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures. * Evaluate emergency department and inpatient consultations related to facial trauma, infections, and other maxillofacial conditions. * Rotate through outpatient clinic and procedural sessions, evaluating new patients and providing postoperative follow-up care. * Participate in procedural-based clinic care, including minor procedures, wound care, and perioperative management. * Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests and imaging to support surgical decision-making. * Round on hospitalized surgical patients, monitoring recovery and adjusting treatment plans in collaboration with the attending surgeon. * Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and postoperative care. * Develop expertise in craniofacial and oral maxillofacial surgery, with mentorship and training provided by the surgical team. Qualifications Education: * Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program * Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State of New York * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, required within 90 days of service Experience: * 1-2 years experience in outpatient setting, preferred Skills & Competencies: * Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care techniques * Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of medical conditions * Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other healthcare technology * Critical thinking, time management, strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to handle various clinical situations.    Grider Support Services, LLC. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
