Description Summary The Physician Assistant (PA) plays a vital support role in our organization. In general, this individual is responsible for providing professional patient care and assistance to the Physician/Surgeon and the clinical staff. The Physician Assistant will be primarily involved with direct patient care in support of the physicians of the practice. Assists the physician in the outpatient clinic and hospital settings following protocols established by the physician and written practice guidelines to facilitate effective medical care and patient safety. The person in this position functions in the multiple settings (operating room, clinic) under the supervision of their assigned physician; may perform activities which involve an initial evaluation and treatment of the patient’s condition, as defined in the scope of the State of Illinois standards and the Physician Assistant Practice Act. Description IBJI is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant for weekend coverage for our Hinsdale division. This role requires alternating or every third Saturday and Sunday, with shifts running from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Responsibilities include covering the on-call schedule for our physicians at Amita Hinsdale and LaGrange Hospitals. Hours & Pay: Hours: 10-20 per week (schedule varies with rounding) Pay: $70/hour Responsibilities Responsibilities Include: Providing continuity of care for our patients Performing hospital rounds Providing hospital consults Assisting in surgery Requirements Position Requirements: Masters Degree from an accredited college or university Must have a current Illinois PA license NCCPA certified Previous Orthopaedic experience preferred Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
