Description Physician Associate (PA) – Pain Management, Urgent Care & Wellness Austin, Texas Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Epic is a rapidly growing, patient-centered practice delivering comprehensive care across pain management, urgent care, and wellness services in the Austin area. We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Physician Associate (PA) to join our collaborative team. What We Offer: PTO, paid holidays & 401(k) with 4% employer match 80% employer-paid medical insurance for employees Optional low-cost dental, vision, and family plans Malpractice insurance fully covered CME allowance and dedicated time off DEA licensing and full credentialing support handled by our team Dedicated Medical Assistant acting as your scribe—minimizing after-hours charting Additional benefits including pet insurance, legal insurance, identity theft protection, travel insurance, and employee discount programs Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic pain conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans across multiple service lines Perform procedures including joint injections, trigger point injections, suturing, splinting, and abscess incision & drainage Order and interpret diagnostic tests Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation (with scribe support) Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care Stay current with clinical best practices Requirements Qualifications Licensed Physician Associate in Texas Current DEA license (or ability to obtain) Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, pain management, or primary care preferred Strong procedural skills and clinical decision-making ability Ability to work independently with physician collaboration Excellent communication and patient care skills
Responsibilities
The Physician Associate will evaluate and treat patients for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic pain while performing various clinical procedures. They will also collaborate with the medical team to implement treatment plans and maintain accurate EMR documentation.
