Job Summary Job Title: Physician, Emergency Medicine Work Site: Richmond Hospital Foundation Status: Permanent Start Date: January 01, 2025 Compensation Type: Clinical Service Contract Come work as a Physician, Emergency Medicine with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! Richmond Hospital is a busy 200+ bed community teaching hospital in the heart of the culturally diverse city of Richmond, BC. It is near the Vancouver airport and a short 20-minute drive to downtown Vancouver. We are apart of Vancouver Coastal Health and we see approximately 60,000 ED visits per year. The hospital is fully supported by most services and within very close proximity to those services not on-site. In the Emergency Department, we currently have 33 permanent members as well as locums on staff and have 11 scheduled shifts per day. We see a diverse mix of both adult and paediatric patients. We are looking for interested emergency physicians to join our group as a permanent member. So, why consider us? We are an engaged, collegial group with extremely supportive members. New grads are very welcome and encouraged to apply. Scheduling is fair, transparent and unbiased and allows physicians to balance their home and work lives. We offer a very active education program (Journal Club, Education Rounds, M&M Rounds, Mock Codes). We also have a voluntary sabbatical program! This allows permanent members to take off one to two months every few years if you choose to participate. We are a very well-respected group within our hospital. Over the years, we have fostered an excellent rapport with other departments and maintained a healthy relationship with Administration. Qualifications Education, Licensing, & Experience: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Mandatory Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)- Desired Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC)- Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Emergency Medicine- Mandatory Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)- Mandatory Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)- Mandatory Closing Statement Interested in applying? Responsibilities
