Opportunity Information Sutter Medical Group is seeking a Supplemental Emergency General Surgery (EGS) Hospitalist to join the EGS Program at Sutter Amador Hospital. This role is designed for a versatile surgeon who enjoys a "community hospitalist" model, providing both acute surgical interventions and essential outpatient procedural support. As a Supplemental Physician, you will be a key part of the ONE Sutter initiative, ensuring surgical continuity when our core team is at capacity. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an ACGME or AOA accredited General Surgery Residency program. Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). Licensure: Unrestricted California Medical License (MD or DO) and valid DEA. Experience: 2+ years of experience in a rural program. Clinical Breadth: High comfort level with "bread and butter" pathology (laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia) and basic therapeutic endoscopy.
