An AC Wellness physician approaches the patient in a holistic fashion, focusing on the prevention of future disease and with a confident approach to acute and chronic existing disease. This role provides primary health care, episodic, and preventive care to patients. An emphasis on patient-centered care with a high-touch/concierge-like approach is essential to how care is delivered. The physician demonstrates comfort and enthusiasm for new methods of care delivery using technology. The mission of AC Wellness is to Partner with patients to optimize health through technology, innovation and diversity. We are looking for our Physician to work full-time at 34-40 hours per week. The compensation range is $300,000 - $340,000 for full-time. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Acts as a patient advocate for employees and family members in times of crisis and is proactive in assisting patients find care both internally in the wellness center and externally for services not offered within the wellness center. * Focuses on quality of care and the patient experience including timeliness and effective communication. * Emphasize health promotion, disease prevention, early detection, and on-going health care supervision. * Engage with patients and practice medicine through telemedicine, as needed. * Documents well in medical record of each patient the basis for diagnoses made, treatment provided and treatment plan established.EHR proficient. * Collaborates with team members to develop practice guidelines and to further develop operational workflows in the clinic as it grows. * Makes appropriate use of available referral and consultative services and of clinical and non-clinical services. * Protect patients’ right to confidentiality to participate in decisions about his/her care. * Provide on call coverage on an 1:14 week basis, with minimal time obligation * Comply with policies, procedures, and protocols of AC Wellness Medical Group. * Participates as requested in clinical and non-clinical health care protocol and procedures, clinical guidelines, and clinical and non-clinical quality assessment and improvement activities. Actual pay based on FTE/schedule, years of experience, market and equity * Up to 15% annual bonus * Longterm bonus potential in addition to annual bonus, increasing up to 22.5% over first 3 - 4 years of employment, and each year thereafter * No RVUs. Stable income structure that allows you to focus on comprehensive patient care. * Generous time allocated for patient visits * Care coordination time allocated during daily schedule * Patients have access to On Demand virtual care 365 days/year - allows enhanced access and less reliance on after hours outreach to the primary care provider * Opportunities to participate in innovative projects * No weekends or holidays * Very minimal, low demand call obligation * Medical, Dental and vision plan choices * 401k retirement match with no vesting wait period * Up to 18 PTO days per year, with subsequent tenure-based increases * 5 Paid Sick days per year * 10.5 designated holidays * Pregnancy and New Parents Leave pay supplementation * Up to $5000 and up to 5 days for CME per year * Wellbeing reimbursement up to $400/year * Apple Fitness Plus subscription * Annual not-for-profit donation matching QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS * 3 years Primary Care experience. * Board Certified in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. * Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required. * Current DEA and California license. * Compliance with AC Wellness Occupational Health Policy, including immunizations. * Comfortable with change and willingness to work in a non-traditional practice model. * Must be flexible in regard to physician practice models and clinic schedule. * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team. * Superior verbal and written communication skills. * Personal and professional integrity of the highest order.
