Opportunity Information Neonatology Associates of Northern California (NANC), partnering with Sutter Healthcare, is seeking BE/BC Neonatologists to join our team. Our core physician group has provided neonatal care in the Sacramento region since the inception of the Sutter Neonatology Program by Dr. Andy Wertz in 1974. Qualifications Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatology/Pediatric experience preferred We seek enthusiastic and energetic individuals that provide excellent neonatal care and who would also become strong advocates for the promotion and development of our program by taking an active part in teaching, QI projects, hospital committees, and outreach education. We offer generous compensation $300,000-$400,000 depending on qualifications and experience, excellent benefits, and an outstanding retirement savings package. Organization Details Our NICU at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, CA is a busy 61 bed Level IV Regional facility with about 1200 admissions per year. This NICU is expanding to 81 beds. Our second NICU located in Roseville CA is a 16 bed Community level NICU with about 450 admissions per year. Also, with expansion plans. We offer various modes of conventional and high frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, therapeutic whole-body hypothermia for HIE, pre-surgical care for complex congenital heart disease and pre-ECMO care. We are backed by a strong medical and surgical subspecialty Sutter-affiliated community. Our regional transport team is staffed by specially trained nurses and respiratory therapists and brings patients to our NICUs by ground or air from a large geographic area that includes 27 counties. High frequency ventilation, Nitric oxide and active whole-body hypothermia can be provided during transport.We take pride in achieving excellent neonatal outcomes, compared to benchmark, by providing evidence-based medical care. Among regional NICUs in California, we have one of the highest survival rates without significant morbidity for neonates
Responsibilities
The physician will provide excellent neonatal care in a busy Level IV Regional NICU (expanding from 61 to 81 beds) and a community NICU, utilizing advanced ventilation and therapeutic techniques. Responsibilities also include actively participating in teaching, Quality Improvement projects, hospital committees, and outreach education to promote and develop the program.
