Urgent and Primary Care Centres (UPCC) provide care for people with urgent, non-life-threatening health concerns that need same-day care, but who don't require a visit to the emergency department. Medical staff and health-care professionals provide team-based care. The centres are an additional service in the community, working in concert with all touchpoints for care. VCH currently operates six UPCCs.
