Responsibilities
  • Serve as a recognized board-certified expert in the delivery of Psychiatric medical care to a wide range of patient psychiatric presentations, ages, conditions and complexities.
  • Provide treatment services in any capacity including, inpatient services, consultation liaison services, partial hospitalization, day programs, emergency psychiatric services, tele-psychiatric services and routine and intensive outpatient services.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness through evidence-based medicine and alter course of treatment as needed through individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide continuing follow-up care for inpatients and outpatients with mental health disorders and for complications related to these disorders, including psychiatric care for walk-in patients presenting with acute illness.
  • Conduct thorough biopsychosocial evaluations of presenting patients including but not limited to integration of laboratory, radiological and clinical findings.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment.
  • Serve as member of the professional medical staff and/or faculty to provide advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and/or boards.
