• Familiarity with microscale fabrication and assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of gas chromatography systems and applications.
  Duties/Expectations: The successful candidate will engage in the design and fabrication of microscale GC columns incorporating CNT-based stationary phases. This involves developing and optimizing thin-film deposition techniques, including physical vapor deposition and chemical vapor deposition techniques for CNT growth. The role requires microscale brazing development for rob ust interface bonding. The candidate will also perform materials and device characterization using techniques like scanning electron microscopy (SEM), x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and thermal analysis. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring undergraduate student team members, and contribution to scholarly publications are integral aspects of this position.
