This Grade 2 opportunity in a casual capacity aligns with Eastern Health’ recently launched 7- day model of care for Stroke patients at Box Hill Hospital with funding to support a - Stroke Acute Rehabilitation Team (StART). This innovative service aims to optimize patient outcomes by providing early assessment and intervention for stroke patients, including providing early rehabilitation for those awaiting transfer to a subacute rehabilitation site. Working in partnership with the award-winning acute stroke multidisciplinary team, StART seeks to enhance patient flow and support high-acuity care by commencing timely, evidence-based rehabilitation interventions.     If this opportunity interests you, we’d love to hear from you.     About you     To be successful in this role you will possess:     Essential selection criteria   Relevant tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy     Current registration Australian Physiotherapy Board  Clinical experience in acute stroke care including sound knowledge of stroke clinical practice guidelines relevant to acute stroke care  The ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a diverse weekend multidisciplinary team  High level interpersonal skills and capability of demonstrating leadership in the context of working within a multidisciplinary team    A strong commitment to high quality care     Excellent communication and organisational skills        Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment. Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
