Description

We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who has a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, a high level of interpersonal skills and a desire to gain further specialised clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to a career in aged care.
This is a Casual opportunity, based in Dorothy Boyt House, Malabar. We would to have your application if you can commit to 1-2 days a week ideally on a Tuesday and a Friday.
Your opportunity
This role offers a great opportunity to be exposed to a diverse caseload and would suit a clinician who has a broad skills base and enjoys working within a Residential Aged Care environment.
You will be working with clients of functional / musculoskeletal based assessment, acute rehabilitation, chronic disease management, improving mobility and function, falls prevention and management, chronic pain management, subacute rehabilitation, post surgical rehabilitation and contributing to improving organisation processes and staff training.

About you:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist
  • 2 years physio experience, experience in aged care or community is desirable
  • Previous experience in assessing & treating a diverse population (acute, subacute, geriatric, palliative care) and a commitment to the delivery of evidence-based practice in this population.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills, strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
