We are currently recruiting a Physiotherapist Assistant for a reputable hospital in Dublin, Ireland. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate sufficient clinical knowledge and apply evidence-based practice in all duties and responsibilities. Work under the direction and supervision of a registered Physiotherapist. Provide clinical and administrative support to the Physiotherapy Department. Assist patients with mobility, transfers, walking practice, and exercise programmes as prescribed by the Physiotherapist. Support the implementation of individual treatment and rehabilitation plans. Assist with therapeutic activities and rehabilitation sessions. Monitor patients during therapy sessions and promptly report any concerns or changes in condition. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure therapy equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use. Maintain, clean, and store physiotherapy equipment according to infection prevention and safety guidelines. Escort patients safely to and from therapy sessions when required. Encourage patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals while promoting independence. Assist in educating patients and families on prescribed exercise programmes and safe mobility techniques. Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation. Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, filing records, and managing departmental documentation. ​Participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary team. Requirements Understanding of physiotherapy principles. Experience in exercise prescription and rehabilitation. Experience working in an acute healthcare environment. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills. Patient-focused with a patient-centred approach. Good IT skills. FETAC (NCVA Level 5) Health Care Support Certificate, including Physiotherapy Assistant Theory and Physiotherapy Assistant Practice modules (or equivalent qualification). Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and hospital policies and procedures.
