Description

About the job

Company description

ATS Rehab is a specialised, Brisbane-based rehabilitation provider with clinics across the southside and greater Brisbane. We deliver evidence-based hand and upper-limb therapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation, exercise rehabilitation and return-to-work services.

Our team works closely with surgeons, GPs, allied health professionals, employers and insurers to provide coordinated care from acute injury and post-operative rehabilitation through to return to work, sport and everyday activity.

We are a collaborative team of physiotherapists and hand therapists who value sound clinical reasoning, practical exercise-based rehabilitation, clear communication and meaningful functional outcomes. Clinicians have the opportunity to manage diverse and clinically rewarding caseloads while working alongside experienced upper-limb and hand therapy practitioners.

Role description

We are seeking a full-time Physiotherapist to join ATS Rehab and work across our Brisbane clinic network.

This is an opportunity for a clinician who enjoys varied musculoskeletal and orthopaedic practice, wants to develop strong rehabilitation skills, and values being part of a supportive, experienced team. You will manage patients across the rehabilitation continuum—from prehabilitation and acute injury management to post-operative care, gym-based rehabilitation, return-to-work planning and return to sport.

Your caseload will include a mix of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, upper-limb and workplace-related presentations. You will independently assess, diagnose and manage patients using evidence-based physiotherapy, while collaborating closely with hand therapists, physiotherapists, surgeons, GPs, employers, insurers and other referrers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough subjective and objective assessments and forming clear working diagnoses.
  • Developing and progressing individualised, exercise-based rehabilitation plans.
  • Delivering appropriate hands-on treatment, education and self-management strategies.
  • Supporting pre-operative, post-operative, gym-based and functional rehabilitation.
  • Managing WorkCover and insurer-funded patients, including clear clinical documentation and communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring outcomes, adjusting plans and supporting safe, sustainable return to work, sport and everyday function.
  • Contributing to a positive clinical culture through case discussions, in-services and ongoing professional development.

What we offer

  • Full-time role with a salary of $95,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Travel reimbursement of $0.99/km when required to work between locations.
  • Standard weekday business hours, with no routine weekend, evening, night or on-call work.+1
  • A varied caseload across private musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, upper-limb and workplace rehabilitation.
  • Opportunities to work alongside experienced hand therapists and clinicians with advanced upper-limb rehabilitation expertise.
  • Access to gym-based rehabilitation facilities and modern clinical equipment.
  • A supportive environment that values evidence-based practice, professional development and high-quality patient care.

About you

You are an engaged and capable physiotherapist who can combine independent clinical reasoning with a collaborative approach. You communicate clearly, build rapport easily and take ownership of patient outcomes.

Essential criteria:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Demonstrated competence in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation.
  • Strong exercise prescription, patient education and clinical documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and communicate professionally with patients, referrers and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing professional development.
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle, given travel between clinics may be required.

Desirable criteria:

  • Private-practice physiotherapy experience.
  • Experience in workplace rehabilitation, insurer-funded care or WorkCover case management.
  • An interest in hand and upper-limb rehabilitation, post-operative orthopaedics, vestibular physiotherapy or exercise rehabilitation.
  • Experience managing functional rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
