An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 2 physiotherapist with a passion for rehabilitation to work in the Community Rehabilitation Program at the Peter James Centre and Wantirna Health.
The Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) is a time-limited, goal-based program, where the incumbent will be expected to work with the client, their carers & our interdisciplinary team to maximise health, functional independence & community participation. The caseload will incorporate both home and centre-based activity including leading group programs, which may include aquatic physiotherapy and telehealth exercise group/s.
As a Grade 2 physiotherapist in the Community Rehabilitation Program, you will be responsible for managing a high caseload of musculoskeletal, Neurological and general rehabilitation clients which may include the supported management of prosthetic amputees. In addition, this role will involve non-clinical portfolios/projects, the supervision, mentoring and support to students, junior staff and/or allied health assistants. This position requires sound clinical skills across musculoskeletal rehabilitation and an ability to assess and manage psychosocially complex clients with the support of the interdisciplinary team.
This position will be supported in a large interdisciplinary team including several grade 2 physiotherapists, with regular clinical supervision provided by a senior clinician physiotherapist, and operation support provided by the program team leader. CRP is committed to providing a dynamic and innovative learning environment, offering in house professional development in addition to stream based learning opportunities and support to attend external PD.
