REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Certification: Registered Physiotherapist or Resident Physiotherapist working under a Supervisor.
  • Specialization: Interest in and commitment to developing expertise in sports physiotherapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sports physiotherapy, integrated acupuncture/manual therapy/ exercise prescription is an asset but not required. Extensive training and mentorship will be provided.

SKILLS

  • Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and effective communication.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of various physiotherapy techniques and modalities.
  • Ability to assess patients’ physical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients’ physical conditions, including movement, strength, and range of motion.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and goals.
  • Implement treatment plans using various techniques such as exercise, manual therapy, and electrotherapy.
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in physiotherapy practices and techniques.
