POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physiotherapist to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, skilled in pediatric rehabilitation, and eager to collaborate with families and professionals to enhance children’s motor development and functional mobility.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed membership and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
  • Experience working with pediatric populations (minimum 1 year preferred).
  • Strong understanding of gross motor development, neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), and sensory integration principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Liability insurance (or willingness to obtain).
Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat children with developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches.
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other team members.
  • Provide parent and caregiver education to support therapy goals at home and in the community.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Utilize play-based and engaging therapy techniques to make sessions fun and effective.
  • Adapt therapy techniques for children with varying abilities and sensory needs.
