THE POSITION SUMMARY

The Grade 1 Physiotherapist will be involved in rotations across The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospital sites. This position is one of >30 Grade 1 physiotherapy positions which are located at The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham, with 1 position being a rural secondment to Alice Springs. The position will rotate across all clinical areas serviced by the Alfred Health Physiotherapy Service and will also be involved in the provision of an after-hours, weekend and public holiday service. The Grade 1 will work closely with the relevant Grade 2, 3 or 4 physiotherapists to ensure the provision of best-practice patient care and the achievement of maximal operational effectiveness. The Grade 1 physiotherapist will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the physiotherapy service by taking on an identified portfolio. The portfolio may be clinical, operational, research or quality improvement in nature.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA
• Responsible for the delivery of physiotherapy services to the designated units in consultation with a senior physiotherapist.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage a caseload
• Demonstrated initiative in a clinical setting
