Description
As a member of the healthcare team, the Physiotherapist coordinates, assesses and evaluates patient care and provides physiotherapy care to meet the needs of patients on Ward EF4. The Physiotherapist collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and community agencies in the provision of care and discharge planning for patients and their families. 1. Current Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario 2. Current knowledge and experience in the management of surgical patients 3. Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills 4. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team 5. Minimum 6 months recent orthopedic experience preferredWards E4&F4 are in-patient surgical units consisting of surgical patients (colorectal, hepatobiliary, plastics, urology, general surgery and oncology. E4 can accommodate 3 patients in an Observational Room with remote telemetry and SPO2 capabilities for post operative monitoring of complex issues. The care on both units is provided utilizing a multidisciplinary approach dedicated to the principles of patient and family centred care. The successful candidate will be a Physiotherapist. This role will be based on one unit at a time and will collaborate with the therapy team for the other unit for patient care. 6. Current Heart and Stroke Foundation course in CPR or equivalent preferred
