About the role The fixed term part time role (16 hours per week - Mondays and Tuesdays preferred, until end November 2026) of the Senior Level 3 Physiotherapist is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Physiotherapy service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers. The Senior Physiotherapist will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients’ level of functional mobility and care needs, setting care goals and providing appropriate treatment. The Senior Physiotherapist will provide leadership within the specialty area including supervision of allocated staff and students in the performance of their duties and the provision of the highest standards of quality care in a patient-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and the Australian Physiotherapy Association. HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised. About you A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA Significant practical experience or extensive knowledge in providing physiotherapy services in a Palliative Care setting. Experience across inpatient and outpatient/ community settings would be desirable Relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex physiotherapy caseload. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) Demonstrated organisation and time management skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ability to implement evidence-based practice. Reasonable administrative and computer skills. A current drivers licence and safe driving record.
