Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic Physiotherapist II (PT II) to join the Allied Health Community (AHC) team, supporting community programs. This role combines clinical leadership with direct patient care, contributing to high-quality, evidence-informed services across AHS and contracted providers. PT II position includes clinical leadership, direct care, and education. Responsibilities span clinical supervision, mentorship, program development, and quality assurance, ensuring excellence in service delivery. As a clinical specialist for AHC Programs—primarily the Outpatient Community Physiotherapy Services (OCPS) and AHS Prehabilitation Program (EZIP)—the PT II will provide coaching, mentorship, and supervision to staff to promote evidence-informed practice, support planning, implementation, and program evaluation and lead change management. PT II will act as a liaison between AHS and contracted providers by reviewing OCPS standards, documentation, care pathways, support policy, process, and quality improvement. Duties include monitoring service quality through audits, data review, and site visits; maintaining effective communication with leadership and stakeholders; identifying corrective actions related to care, provider performance, and safety. Maintaining accurate records and processing data, with the ability to review and prepare financial reports, identify errors, trends, and variances to support decision-making. In addition, the PT II will deliver direct services through assessments, follow-ups, and care navigation for complex clients; review and adjudicate physiotherapy service requests; and provide clinical guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality care. If you are passionate about advancing community physiotherapy through leadership and clinical excellence, we encourage you to apply or reach out for more information to edm.alliedhealthcommunity@ahs.ca.
Description:
As a Physiotherapist II, you will provide coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. You will provide supervision of students and team members as assigned. You will work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team providing leadership to other healthcare professionals.
