Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our team in the Manchester Movement Unit. The unit provides outpatient Physiotherapy services for staff and students of Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as services to the local community and general public. The Manchester Movement Unit is Manchester’s only academic Physiotherapy Practice and has a culture of evidence-based practice and excellence in patient-centred care.
The Movement Unit is expanding the team and looking to appoint a motivated and committed Physiotherapist who is eager to learn and develop alongside highly specialist staff. The clinical caseload is varied, although predominantly musculoskeletal in nature. The unit currently employs two part-time highly specialist Clinic Directors and a full-time Senior Sports Physiotherapist, who also provides services to athletes and Manchester Met Sports Scholars.
Working within this team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of appointments for patients, supporting the smooth operational delivery and development of an efficient, flexible Physiotherapy service. You will provide high-quality assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and review, monitoring your patients and recording documentation in line with HCPC standards of professional practice. You will be flexible and may be expected to work across a six-day week to provide a service during clinic operating hours, at times of highest patient demand. You will learn alongside the existing team and be provided with a full package of staff development and support to enable you to achieve the highest standard of Physiotherapy practice. You will also be supported to undertake practice educator training, enabling you to provide support and supervision to Manchester Metropolitan University Physiotherapy students undertaking clinical placements in the clinic.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A highly committed and enthusiastic individual, passionate about making a difference to people’s lives
  • Strong underpinning Physiotherapy knowledge and skills across a range of practice areas, with experience of working in different sectors
  • A willingness to learn and be flexible in your approach to patient care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to continuing professional development and to contributing to the successful expansion of the Manchester Movement Unit
Are you qualified graduate Physiotherapist looking for your first post in an exciting and dynamic environment?
Or are you an established Band 5 Physiotherapist looking to make a move from the NHS into the private sector?
