ABOUT THE ROLE

Mater Private Hospital Townsville are currently seeking a Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team. The successful applicant will be offered a 12 month Maximum Term contract, where you will work full time 38 hours a week. Our Allied Health team operate out of both our Pimlico and Hyde Park campus, where you will work predominately across inpatient hospital wards. Inpatient caseload may include; orthopaedics, surgical, intensive care, cardiothoracic care, medical and women’s health- as appropriate.
Salary range: $39.86 - $58.59 (HP3) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING.

Typical tasks of the role include:

• Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols at Mater Townsville Physiotherapy Department
• Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision
• Provide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers
• Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams
• Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes
• Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies
• Participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise
