Band 6 Therapist – Hand Therapy & Rheumatology (Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist)
Are you an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist looking to expand your skills and take on a new challenge? We have a fantastic opportunity within our outpatient therapy service to work in the specialist area of Hand Therapy and Rheumatology.
No extensive Hand Therapy experience? No problem!
We welcome applications from motivated therapists with limited experience in Hand Therapy who are eager to learn and develop in this rewarding field. Comprehensive in-service training is provided, including monthly supervision with a senior therapist and regular team training sessions to support your professional growth.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality therapy within Hand Therapy and Rheumatology outpatient services.
Supervise junior staff and students from local universities, with full training provided to support your supervisory role.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and a Senior Therapy Assistant.

Specialised, experienced practitioner employed to assess and treat a caseload of patients who require Hand Therapy, rehabilitation and splinting, including Plastic Surgery, Rheumatology, Trauma and Orthopaedics and GP patients.
To participate in the planning, co-ordinating and delivery of the Hand Therapy Service.
To supervise, educate and assess the performance of more junior/rotational staff within the speciality.
To be a Practice Educator, supervising and assessing Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy students on placement.
The post holder will participate in quality and audit activity and management of clinical role.
Deputising for the Team Lead, when required.
