DESCRIPTION

Priory Hospital Elm Park is looking to recruit a Physiotherapist to join the team. This is a part-time/22.5-hour role.
Based in Ardleigh near Colchester, Essex, Priory Elm Park is a specialist brain injury service. We provide neurobehavioural rehabilitation for people with complex neurological needs, following an acquired brain injury (ABI) or traumatic brain injury (TBI). This includes assessment as well as treatment.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a qualified Physiotherapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat physical conditions and injuries through manual therapy, exercise, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, posture correction, and lifestyle adjustments for long-term well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans based on recovery and feedback.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Candidates should possess a degree in Physiotherapy or a related field, along with valid professional certification or licensure. Previous experience in clinical or rehabilitation settings is preferred, demonstrating strong skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for working closely with patients and multidisciplinary teams. A compassionate approach and commitment to ongoing professional development are also highly valued.
