ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dedicated and client-centered Physiotherapist to join our growing home care team on a casual basis. This unique role blends hands-on client care with opportunities to lead front-line training sessions that directly support safe mobility and rehabilitation in the home setting.
As a Physiotherapist, you’ll provide in-home assessments and treatments to older adults, develop personalized care plans, and collaborate with care providers such as PSWs and PTAs. You will also support education by mentoring front-line staff through mobility techniques, equipment use, and fall prevention strategies.
This is a great fit for a PT who values autonomy, mentorship, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of both clients and caregivers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete in-home physiotherapy assessments across the GTA
  • Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans
  • Support mobility, function, strength, and fall prevention through evidence-based interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for holistic care
  • Delegate to and supervise PTAs and unregulated care providers according to College of Physiotherapists of Ontario standards
  • Design and/or deliver in-services and coaching for PSWs/PTAs on:
  • Safe mobility, transfers, and client handling
  • Assistive devices and exercise programs
  • Fall prevention and recovery strategies
  • Document all visits, care plans, and communications using our digital EHR platform
  • Stay current on best practices in community physiotherapy and aging in place
