• Is in charge of ensuring adherence to all therapy standards established by both the Ministry of Health and the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Assumes a leadership role among the therapy team to guarantee the provision of secure and high-quality care for residents, while also ensuring compliance with established standards.
• Conducts assessments, devises plans, executes interventions, evaluates outcomes, and records therapy requirements for residents with the aim of facilitating, restoring, enhancing, or preserving their mobility and functionality upon admission.
• Regularly reviews and revises these plans, at least every six months or more frequently if necessary.
• Advocates for the adoption of evidence-based practices in the provision of therapy services.
• Ensures that written policies, procedures, and operational workflows are both accessible and kept current to serve as guidelines for the delivery of therapy services.
• Takes on the responsibilities of supervising, appraising, and, when required, implementing disciplinary actions for team members.
