Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital We are seeking a Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our Berwick team in a rotational role across acute wards, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, with a varied caseload including orthopaedics, surgery, medical and critical care. New graduates are encouraged to apply. This role provides exposure across orthopaedic, surgical, medical, ICU, CCU, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services and includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. You will operates on a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. New graduates are welcome and will be supported within a collaborative team environment. The Position Provide high quality evidence based physiotherapy assessments and treatments for all patients/clients, including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments where applicable. Using patient-centered care work with the patient to develop appropriate physiotherapy treatment goals and plans for all patients/clients. Ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with multi-disciplinary colleagues and internal/external customers including active participation in the multidisciplinary team meetings Use of Evidence Based Patient treatment outcome measures and use of Patient feedback satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required. Assist with education and training programs for students as requested Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation. Attend staff meetings and present at professional development sessions as required. You will hold a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist and demonstrate ability to work independently, within a multi-disciplinary team. To succeed in this multi disciplinary team, you will have recent experience in Physiotherapy services in relevant clinical settings including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments.
