Description

WAGE RATE: $41.85 - $50.57 (COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE)

The primary goal of the Physiotherapist is to ensure our patients are receiving high quality, person-centered care that aligns with our values of Dignity, Service, Excellence and Integrity. Our Physiotherapists work within an interprofessional team setting to define our patients’ individual goals and create realistic plans to achieve them through slow-paced rehabilitation and strengthening. They develop and implement individualized care programs that address functional decline and support a discharge back to the community. The Physiotherapists work closely with the Rehabilitation Assistants and other members of the care team in providing care to a predominately geriatric population.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation and leadership preferred
NOTE: The successful Physiotherapist may qualify for a Rehabilitation Professionals Incentive Grant of $5,000 per year for three years which is paid by the Underserviced Area Program of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre offers a competitive salary and benefits package (including HOOPP pension) and career development opportunities.
Working at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre is a great career choice! It offers full-scope practice in a rehabilitation environment where we focus on holistic wellness, re-activation and helping patients achieve maximum recovery and independence. Enjoy the wonderful advantage of really getting to know our patients during their recovery weeks with us where they enjoy group leisure activities, communal dining and progressive therapies. As a not-for-profit organization, we focus our resources on our staffing ratios, high quality meals and innovative patient services. Consider our rehab environment as a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
