JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant/ Kinesiologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support physiotherapists in providing high-quality patient care within an outpatient orthopedic clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and a passion for helping patients recover and improve their physical well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients and provide exceptional care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated in individual tasks.
  • Physical stamina to perform various tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing encouragement and support throughout their rehabilitation process.
  • Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physiotherapist.
  • Educate patients on proper techniques and safety measures during therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
