JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant/Kinesiologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physiotherapists in providing high-quality patient care in a private clinic setting, providing physiotherapy treatments and rehab exercise programs. This role is essential in supporting patients’ rehabilitation and recovery through effective treatment plans.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Registered kinesiologist or in the process of registering preferred, but not required.
  • Previous education in Kinesiology or similar program, or completion of physiotherapy assistant program preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus, enhancing communication within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing encouragement and support.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the physiotherapist.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress.
  • Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities of daily living.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals and patient charting.
