Description

Lyrette Physiotherapy in Timmins, ON is looking for a full time Physiotherapy Assistant. This position will provide the ideal candidate with valuable experience working with people of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will:

  • Help create and carry out treatment programs under the direction of the registered physiotherapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries
  • Administer modalities if/as indicated by the physiotherapists
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team members on patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes in health status to the physiotherapist
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in SOAP format using electronic medical software
  • Clean and maintain rooms and physiotherapy equipment
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient enquiries and concerns promptly and with courtesy

Qualifications/Requirements

  • College diploma of a physiotherapy/occupational therapy assistant program or equivalent
  • Clinical work experience of at least 1 year is an asset
  • CPR training preferred (training/recertification available)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Brings a positive, professional and flexible attitude to work each day
  • Sound critical thinking, good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications applicable to reception and booking appointments
  • Is fully bilingual in English/French (not required but an asset)
  • Travel is required to other locations. Holds a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to own vehicle is essential.

Salary: $22-$25/hour (depending on experience)
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm (may vary depending on the needs of the clinic)
