Duties

• Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy sessions for patients.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for therapy sessions.
• Support patients during exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of therapy areas and equipment in compliance with health standards.
• Provide patient education on exercises, mobility techniques, and post-treatment care instructions.

Requirements

• Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred, especially within acute care settings.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
