We are a rapidly growing music studio looking for a fun, enthusiastic, and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our friendly, supportive studio this September! ⭐️
You’ll be teaching 20 students already lined up, ranging from Grade 1–8, with scope to expand as you settle into the role.

Key Requirements

  • Grade 8 piano (or above)
  • Valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service). We can support this
  • Previous experience teaching young people
  • Reliable, patient, organised, and professional
  • Up to date with ABRSM requirements and exam expectations
  • Ability to adapt lessons to different ages, levels, and learning style

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Teach 1:1 piano lessons for both children and adults
  • Levels: Grade 1–8 (preferred exam board: ABRSM)
  • Lesson lengths: 30, 45, or 60 minutes
  • Term-time only (breaks in line with the school calendar)
  • Monday–Saturday (flexible scheduling)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-quality piano lessons tailored to each student
  • Foster a fun, positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity
  • Motivate students and nurture their self-belief through encouragement and improvisation
  • Provide a well-balanced music education that includes technique, theory, performance, and all essential musicianship skills.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Prepare students for ABRSM exams, recitals, and personal goals
  • Communicate effectively with students
