ABOUT US

The Ontario Conservatory of Music is North America’s largest private music conservatory of its kind, with over 86 years of history and millions of students taught. We’re passionate about helping children and families discover the lifelong joy of music.
Our Brampton West Campus is growing — and we’re looking for a dedicated Piano Teacher to join our team!
With many students starting this month and developing our programs for September we are looking to move forward quickly and start your training immediately!

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and passionate piano teacher who thrives in a fun, energetic, and structured teaching environment. This position offers you a ready-made student base and a stable work location — no commuting between private homes or juggling scattered student schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach piano to students of varying skill levels, using the RCM and Ontario Conservatory of Music curriculum
  • Deliver engaging, structured, and goal-oriented lessons
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere
  • Support students in developing musical technique, discipline, and confidence
  • Prepare students for exams, recitals, and personal goals
  • Communicate with families and help maintain a strong teacher-student-parent relationship

Why Choose Us? You’re an Employee, Not a Contractor

Unlike many private teaching roles, this is a secure employee position — not contract work. That means:

  • Reliable hours and consistent income
  • Teach from one location only — no running around for one or two students per evening
  • A strong and growing student base already in place
  • Stability and long-term career potential
  • A supportive, team-based environment

You can finally plan your career with confidence — while doing what you love.

About You:

  • Skilled piano teacher with experience teaching children and youth
  • Able to teach using the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum
  • Friendly, reliable, and highly organized
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about music education
  • Excellent communicator and motivator
  • Comfortable working in a school-based business environment
  • Committed to your schedule and students’ success

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • On-site parking

Application question(s):

  • Can you follow and teach the RCM Syllabus?
  • Have you taught in both group and private settings?
  • We are looking for full time, are you also working at other music schools as an independent contractor on other days?
  • Are you located in Brampton or Peel Region?
