  • Hiring for 1 position: Piano Teacher
  • Start in September

Progressive Music Studio is now hiring a friendly, fun, energetic, and self-motivated piano teacher with a minimum of level 8 RCM piano, or who is currently working towards/received a diploma/degree in music. We are looking for someone who can work well with students of all ages, is comfortable teaching beginner to advanced levels of piano, willing to teach online and in person, and is reliable and consistent with their lessons.

Responsibilities:

  • Create one-on-one lesson plans to suit the individual learning styles of each student
  • Provide lessons in a fun and engaging manner
  • Communicating and providing proper musical techniques
  • Able to teach various styles of music.
  • Communicate with parents and/or guardians on the progress of each student
  • Preparing students for Royal Conservatory exams, festivals, theatre auditions, recitals, and post-secondary auditions
  • Attending and helping at student recitals held in December and June
  • Can work independently
  • Willing to collaborate with other teachers

Qualifications:

  • Must have level 8 RCM or be currently attending/have completed post-secondary education in music
  • Have received formal musical instruction in piano
  • Proficient at reading music and theory
  • Proficiency in guitar or voice is an asset
