We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Workers Compensation Self-Insurance PIAWE Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processes related to workers’ compensation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing, workers’ compensation claims, and self-insurance programs.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field desirable
  • Knowledge of self-insured workers’ compensation programs and PIAWE calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing:
  • Manage and process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with customer payroll to verify employee classifications and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • PIAWE Calculations:
  • Calculate and report PIAWE (Pre-Injury Average Weekly Earnings) for injured employees as required.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of PIAWE reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Stay updated on workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Communication and Support:
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll and workers’ compensation enquiries.
  • Provide training and support to team members on workers’ compensation policies and procedures.
